Youth in Tiny
Do you have any plans to inspire or provide opportunities for youth in the community.

Our youth should see Tiny not only as a place to grow up, but as a place where they can learn, contribute, and eventually build their lives. I would support practical opportunities for youth through stronger partnerships with local organizations, service clubs, sports groups, businesses, and neighbouring municipalities. That could include mentorship programs, volunteer opportunities, leadership development, job-shadowing, summer employment connections, and workshops focused on life skills, trades, entrepreneurship, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement.
Great answers! I agree 100%
Establish Mentorship Networks: Connect young people with local professionals, tradespeople, and community leaders. Mentorship bridges the gap between traditional schooling and career readiness, helping youth set tangible life goals. Encourage Community Leadership: Empower youth by giving them a meaningful voice in municipal decision-making. Local organizations can involve young adults in planning town events or tackling community challenges, building critical thinking and self-esteem.Leverage Canadian Grant Programs: Look to government and national non-profit programs to fund local youth-led projects. Initiatives such as the Youth Take Charge program fund projects that empower youth through civic engagement.
The Township has had a Youth Advisory Committee for many council terms but does not seem to be able to get much buy-in. We need to solicit some advocates such as yourself to promote this. Some great suggestions from the other candidates.
