The approved "West Ridge" housing development in Tiny Township is located at 900 County Road 6 South in the hamlet of Wyevale (just south of McKenzie Street). The project includes 14 single-family residential lots and 1 hamlet commercial lot on roughly 5.4
Because municipal planning maps, official subdivision approvals, and GIS mapping files are technical municipal records maintained under the Planning Act, the best and most accurate source for official maps and complete application files is the Township of Tiny Planning and Development Department. They maintain the comprehensive zoning mapping and track all active site-plan and subdivision applications. From my active review of council agendas and local developments across the township, here are a few notable sites and current realities: Toanche Area: There is ongoing active residential subdivision work and building development in Toanche. Concession 18 Area: Infrastructure—including paved roads and street lighting—was installed for a development parcel near Concession 18 West, though active home construction there has largely remained idle. Wyevale (14-Home Development): As Drew mentioned, there is an approved 14-home development slated for Wyevale. However, due to well-documented capacity constraints on the municipal water system and aquifer protections in that area, those homes are not permitted to connect to municipal water, highlighting how infrastructure constraints directly limit growth. Current Administration Site: At a recent council meeting, discussions arose regarding rezoning the property of our current municipal administration centre. The suggestion was made to shift it to a commercial designation to facilitate a faster private sale or attract commercial business once the township vacates it. Individual candidates do not have access to municipal GIS software to generate custom mapping files, but township staff can provide the official planning maps. You can view public planning files on the township website under "Planning Applications of Public Interest" or contact the Planning Department directly at 705-526-4204 or via email at planning@tiny.ca. Thank you again for your interest in how growth and land use are being managed in Tiny. Kind regards, Karen Zulynik Candidate for Deputy Mayor, Tiny Township
